Dr Valentine Ogbu is a co-founder and an Executive Director at Dover Hospital, Abuja. He had his medical education at the University of Benin, Nigeria where he graduated in 2003. He had Orthopaedic and Trauma training at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu.

He is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.

He was awarded a SICOT fellowship and underwent further training in Arthroplasty (Total Hip and Knee Replacement) and Trauma at Ganga Hospital Coimbatore India in 2015. He has done AO Basics Trauma and AO Advanced Trauma courses as well as the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course. And also attended the Zimmer Biomet Knee Instructional Course.

He worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cedarcrest Hospitals, Abuja from 2015 to 2023 where he served as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma for 5 years. He has sub-specialized as an Arthroplasty and Trauma Surgeon. He has been involved in the training of postgraduate orthopeadics residents. His areas of interest include total hip and knee replacement, trauma surgery and general orthopaedics. He has attained proficiency in the operative management of limb fractures, paediatric fractures and deformity corrections.
